32 bodies found in Veracruz
#11
I've got to tell you, if you read the Mexican newspapers, the current wave of violence, starting with the 52 dead in the Monterrey casino and now Veracruz, is topic number one in Mexico. It drowns out almost all other news. It is kind of like the news after 911 in the US. It is on the front page of every newspaper in Mexico, every day in almost every op-ed piece.

The only place it is absent is on the tourist brochures and contrived travel blogs.

They need their jobs. Resort workers and restaurants depend on them so more places don't close. That's the only reason I can think of and in this economy it is a good-enough one. It will have no impact on the end result.
BajaNoMas= News, Facts, Stats, Videos, Pics and Links- because presenting the truth to the public is not a negative campaign "Decir la verdad no es ninguna campaña negra".
