...And so it begins: Clandestine grave found in La Paz

LA PAZ.- Luego de un rastreo realizado al sur de la ciudad de La Paz, autoridades de seguridad ubicaron una fosa clandestina en donde se encontraban tres cuerpos sin vida, entre ellos el de una mujer.

La fosa fue localizada en las inmediaciones de la colonia Tabachines, al sur de esta capital hacia las 22:00 horas de este lunes.

Al sitio arribaron elementos de distintas corporaciones de seguridad y el Ejército mexicano, quienes permanecen resguardando la zona en donde se recaba evidencia pericial.

La Procuraduría General de Justicia de Baja California Sur (PGJE-BCS), en un breve comunicado, confirmó el hallazgo y señaló que se relaciona con una averiguación encabezada por la Agencia de Investigaciones Especiales.

LA PAZ. - After a search south of the city of La Paz, police authorities located a clandestine grave containing three bodies, one of which was a woman.

The grave was found near colonia Tabachines, south of the city, at 10PM on Monday.

Police from different corporations arrived at the site, along with the Mexican army, who remained to guard the area where evidence was being collected.

The State Attorney General of Baja California Sur, in a brief communique, confirmed the finding and indicated that it was related to an investigation headed by the Special Investigations Agency.

The body count found in clandestine graves in La Paz is now up to 7, 4 men and 3 women. One of the bodies had a coup de grace bullet to the head.

Zeta Magazine paints a grim picture of the current situation in TJ and Baja. Lot's of new "independents" from the mainland who aren't paying for use of the plaza. I suspect that's the major source of homicides. Lot's of drugs moving up the peninsula with little concern of being caught- even using open trucks. Military checkpoints either removed or ineffective. Just crazy. The elephant in the room with the Mexican flag over him is doing the Ringling Brothers Circus Elephant Parade up Baja.
