The mother of the driver has posted her version of the accident and her son's horrible ordeal in the Rosarito jail  (five days no food or water) on the Coronado Happenings FaceBook group.

Pure B.S. from the enabler. With his past DUIs, there is no way that he has a valid drivers license.

Is 4 DUI's too many to drive her Hummer that has no stickers on the rear license plate?  Mom says he's a Bodybuilder and personal trainer So what's up with the swollen ankles?

Her "story" contradicts the contemporaneous reports of eye witnesses posted in Spanish in Rosarito en las noticias. They said he was weaving all over the road before the accident and tried to run away before the police came, but was brought back by witnesses. His girlfriend said he took the Hummer without permission. He has no driver's license. Why would he take the Hummer for any reason?

The mother's version has him going out of his way to get gas too.  And how urgent is gas at 7:30am when his hottie girlfriend is still at the hotel in bed?

Two lawyers have contacted me to represent the family of the victim.  They want to follow the Hummer to the money.  The mother says it's the girls.  I'm skeptical it is being driven back and forth across the border without registration tags.  But if the car is garaged in the USA and a man with 4 DUI's used it with her permission in Mexico, the lawyers will be elated.  Need some help tracking it.

His four or five day jail stay where the mother says he could not answer 4 simple questions for several days is interesting.  sounds more like withdrawal to me but you people know more about medical conditions than I do.  The swollen ankles?

"We don't know what the long term effect will be" for poor little Gregory.  But we sure do know what they are for the guy he hit.  And he also, will "have to live with what happened for the rest of his life".  Oh, that's right...he's dead. No more life to live at all.
And no, you do not get food provided for you in jail in Rosarito unless someone cares enough to bring it to you...and by the way it was jail not 'prison'.
It is a tragedy for sure.  But let's be sure we assign our sympathy to the guy under the wheel, not behind it.
