The driver looks like he is a Gringo and the license plate shows no annual registration tags.

We all know who will be getting screwed.
Carlos Mendoza, the Red Cross coordinator for Rosarito, gave an interview about this accident. He said the driver of the Hummer reeked of alcohol and he spoke English and only a little Spanish.

Son of Coronado pub owner involved in fatal crash in Rosarito, Mexico

ROSARITO, Mexico. (KGTV) -- The son of a Coronado bar owner was involved in a crash that killed a man in Rosarito, Mexico last week, sources tell 10News.

The crash happened on June 11 in the Playa Encantado neighborhood of Rosarito, according to that city’s Justice Agency.

Mexican authorities said Gregory McPartlin Jr. crashed into another vehicle. A total of four cars were eventually involved in the wreck, officials said.

The victim, later identified as Eleuterio Pedraza Sanchez, was found dead after the crash. People who identified themselves as friends of McPartlin told 10News his father is Gregory McPartlin Sr. the owner of McP’s Irish Pub on Orange Ave in Coronado.

Mexican authorities were unable to determine whether McPartlin was under the influence of drugs or alcohol but said the case has already gone to a judge and an agreement was reached. The specifics of the agreement were not made public.

McPartlin may have taken the vehicle from a woman staying at a nearby hotel, authorities said. A woman who was staying at Hotel Las Rocas reported that a friend took the keys to her car and apartment without permission and drove away, according to Mexican officials.

The same vehicle, a white 2008 Hummer, was later involved in the fatal crash.
