Massive dolphin stranding in La Paz
#1
The Federal Environmental Protection Agency responded to the stranding of a group of 54 dolphins in the Bay of La Paz, in coordination with the Network for Marine Mammal Strandings for the Baja California Sur coasts, and tourist service providers. They managed to save 33 of the animals.

The stranding was at a place called La Salinita, in Pichilingue, in the Bay of La Paz, where common short beaked dolphins were found stranded at a rocky beach.

Examination of the bodies showed they had been attacked by Bottle-nosed dolphins.
