78 Photos of damage from Hurricane Odile

Hurricane Odile was to Los Cabos as Hurricane Katrina was to New Orleans.

It's going to be faster for the stranded turistas to walk home than take a plane or bus out of Baja..... Sad
Vivo Aztland!

My posts often contain so called satire and parody with supposedly nuggets of truth thrown in; any alleged resemblance to persons living or dead is suppose to be coincidental.

WOW. This must be the worst natural disaster to ever hit Baja. Desperate need for aid (food, water, shelter) and another storm in the line-up. Not a good place to be on vacation. Hopefully tourists can migrate north and out- it looks like the airport won't be happenning anytime soon.

The FAA announced on Monday that both Los Cabos International Airport and General Manuel Marquez De Leon International in the state's capital city of La Paz will be closed until September 22. Those tourists will soon be in a world of hurt. Some will start to run out of their prescription medications. There is raw sewage in the water everywhere and they don't have the same tolerance built up in their GI tracts like the Mexicans. I would expect dysentery will start to spread. All the food has to be trucked or ferried in, and the Transpenisular is cut off right now.

Here are some planes left at San Jose del Cabo Airport.

Is that soldier holding the door? Beer may be the safest thing to drink for a while and will deaden the reality.
