TIJUANA.- Dos agentes de la Policía Federal están detenidos por extorsionar a una vecina de la colonia Castillo, a quien pidieron entregar 5 mil dólares a cambio de no "sembrarle" droga.
El arresto se dio la tarde de ayer en la avenida Internacional a la altura de la calle Carranza. Los oficiales iban a bordo de un auto Renault Clio, color gris, con placas nacionales AJS9413.

Se trata de Guillermo Manuel Ramírez Romero, de 29 años, y Jesús Jiménez Ramos, de 31 años, informó la Policía Municipal.

La víctima contó que ambos le exigieron 5 mil dólares a cambio de no detenerla, "sembrarle" un kilo de la droga sintética "cristal" y deportarla del país.

Ambos mostraron a los oficiales credenciales que los acreditaban como agentes federales. Ahí mismo llegó otra mujer, quien aseguró los detenidos hace 15 días la extorsionaron con 2 mil dólares.

TIJUANA - Two Federal Policemen are under arrest for extorting a resident of colonia Castillo, from whom they demanded $5,000 dollars in return for not "planting" drugs on her.

The arrest occurred yesterday afternoon on avenida Internacional at calle Carranza. The officers were driving a grey Renault Clio, with license plates AJS9413.

This is about Guillermo Manuel Ramírez Romero, 29, and Jesús Jiménez Ramos, 31, reported the municipal police.

The victim said that both demanded $5,000 dollars in return for not arresting her and "planting" a kilo of the synthetic drug "cristal" and deporting her from the country.

Both showed official indentifications that said they were federal policemen. At the same location came another woman, who said the two arrested extorted $2,000 from her 15 days ago.
This used to happen in the past with no media coverage or arrests. Let's hope the free press in TJ isn't put under undo pressure as terms of the truce.
