After Uber publicly reported the kidnapping of four of its partner-drivers in order to steal their vehicles, the Jalisco Attorney General denied the events and reported that they have not received any complaints about the kidnappings.

Through a press release, Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer Ramírez said there are only three known complaints with Uber for damages and injuries, but these were filed before the kidnappings and robberies were reported on digital platforms.

Almaguer Ramírez made a call to the parties in the conflict to not use the institutions for their private interests, as the state government has the will to solve the problem.
