Almost immediately after the shooting in Tucson our friends in the liberal media started the blame game. When the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, a psychopath who his friends later said paid little attention to politics, opened fire on Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford and others, it was Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik who said “overheated rhetoric from TV and Radio caused the shooting.”
As if taking a cue from the sheriff, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann began blaming Sarah Palin, talk radio, and the Fox News Channel. Keith Olbermann abruptly parted company with MSNBC tonight. Apparently his contract was either canceled or not renewed by the network, but the circumstances of his departure are not yet clear. I suppose the dozen viewers who still tune-in to MSNBC finally have had enough too.
